20.07.10Military maneuvers Sea breeze – 2010  

From June, 12 to July, 24 in Ukraine there are held the Ukrainian-American maneuvers Sea breeze - 2010. The subject of the current maneuvers is Planning and Implementation of an International Anti-Pirate Operation. The representatives of about 10 countries also participate in these trainings.

The Fund employees and representatives visited these maneuvers and saw everything with their own eyes.

07.07.10Day of the Naval Forces of Ukraine  

Ukrainian Naval Forces celebrated another anniversary on July 4, 2010. The festivities, which took place in Sevastopol, united about 15 hundred naval mariners, eight navy ships, two ships of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine together with Smetlivy patrol vessel of the Black Sea Fleet of Russia.
Since we in the Fund aim to open the Naval Aviation Museum, we eagerly took part in the event. We were invited by Nikolay Kulish, Post Captain, Manager for Educational, Social and Psychological Work of the Naval Forces Headquarters of Ukraine, to visit all principal celebrations, meet those who share our ideas and help us in our efforts, talk to old friends and make new ones.

28.06.10Exhibition in the Permanent Mission of Ukraine to the U.N.O.  

On the 25 June 2010 the Permanent Mission of Ukraine to the U.N.O. organized a state reception for presentation of the exhibition "Female Image of Orthodoxy".

 

The Permanent Missions to the U.N.O. and ambassadors of Russia, Moldavia, Montenegro, the representatives of the Permanent Mission of Kazakhstan and other countries, the representatives of diplomatic, political, scientific and civil circles of New-York and USA, figures of Ukrainian diaspora and newspersons were present at this reception.

Fund for Support of Science, Culture and Sports Development international charitable association was established to provide assistance in organising and financing of miscellaneous projects in the humanitarian field.

The state has never succeeded in providing sufficient financing of education, primarily as regards children and youth. Lots of interesting and important initiatives of enthusiasts in this field need professional support and target financing. That is what our Fund is engaged in.

We organise (and render assistance in organising) various exhibitions, lectures and seminars both in Ukraine and abroad.

For the time being, the largest project of the Fund is establishment of the Naval Aviation Museum "Wings Above the Waves" in Crimea. The project envisages availability of both exposition stand photo and video materials as well as full size mockup aircrafts, actual cockpit-based trainers and many more expositions which are unique for our country. As our Foundation is a society of international, bipartisan and inter-religious tolerances, that's why the museum will exhibit the apparatus, pictures and documents not only from Ukraine and Russia but from the majority of the countries of the planet, having naval aviation. 

A series of training programmes is planned under the aegis of the museum.
