Military maneuvers Sea breeze – 2010

From June, 12 to July, 24 in Ukraine there are held the Ukrainian-American maneuvers Sea breeze - 2010. The subject of the current maneuvers is Planning and Implementation of an International Anti-Pirate Operation. The representatives of about 10 countries also participate in these trainings.

The Fund employees and representatives visited these maneuvers and saw everything with their own eyes.

The maneuvers include the ground and offshore stages and are held in the north-western part of the Black Sea, Odessa, Mykolayiv oblast, Crimea and Vinnytsia.

We've spent a couple of days in Odessa and Mykolayiv. Certainly, the major attention of the Fund creating the museum of the military marine aircraft was paid to the aircraft and its accessories.

On July, 17 we were watching ground anti-pirate operation. The marines and Ukrainian paratroopers were landing from the board of a German С-160 plane and tested the German Т-10 parachutes.

Assistant commander of the consolidated US marine battalion, Thomas Gordon, remarked that he highly appreciated not only the very Sea breeze - 2010 maneuvers, but also the skills of the Ukrainian military men.
